It will take few days to a week to get the NVC Case# to generate. Practise checking AVR every day using NVC telephone# to be proactive in NVC process.

Now-a-days, NVC is clogged, you may be out of NVC in 2 months or so.

Regarding Consulate interview, Phil guys will give you accurate estimate. I would say less than 2 months.

The average days between NOA2 and NOA1 went down to 160 days from 161 days yesterday. This should give you some idea as to when you can expect your junk to be approved. Also more, half of all April filers have their NOA2 by now. Half more to go.

I knew what you meant Loto. I just us PI cause I am lazy... I received my NVC # on 7/28/10. Got my complete on the Sept 13th which just missed the cutoff for Oct. Saw people with Competes of 9/10 get OCT interviews. I still have no interview date but I am hoping next week to receive something. I would look at 3 more months and some days before you interview. Try to reduce your time in NVC by getting your paperwork in ASAP. If you miss getting your Complete by the 2nd week of the month then you will wait another month... So look at your window of time and if possible get it all in by the 1st week.

I remember that day also. That was when NOA2 were coming in within 100 days (compared to 160 days now.) My wife has no intention of moving to America in 2010 even if she could've done so. We are still not in a super rush. I was going to go visit her also. But I ended up going to another country instead. Just as long as she can come here within reasonable amount of time, we're all good.

I miss her and all that. But I'm not desperate. I just like being on top of the whole immigration process.

I hear you. Wow, how time flies... being on top of the whole immigration process is bordering on Delusional or excessive compulsive... JK . I can also wait I just like doing my waiting on my terms and not theirs. Never liked it when I was unable to do something or having to wait on someone to do something.

I was going to fly back and escort my wife to the USA but then I have things to do here. Besides she is not helpless and plenty capable of doing this on her own. She is also still enjoying her work and dont think she will stop that until her VISA is at hand.

is to have a lawyer on the case, with that G-28 filed with the I-130 petition -

as then

the IV and AOS fee bills show up simultaneously.

IMO, that's the ONLY reason a lawyer is useful (but I hate lawyers, pay them my own coin to train them, always)

I feel for Greg, though - RFEs Suck, Much. It says so, right there on the label. I think he's still in Sichuan with his wife, this week, so that's always a good thing - prefer to wait on RFE with wife snoring gently beside him, you betcha.

EP is 'Electronic Processing' at NVC stage.

Lawyer cannot speed up things. Lawyer can speed up things if the original applicant doesn't know how to do things.

Great to see Rate of Approval ........ So many people are getting approved........I am sure.......NVC will be full this month.......CONGRATS TO THOSE WHO GOT APPROVED.....LATELY.
