On September 23, 2010, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN.

Oh my goodness!! We couldn't be more happier! I was at work when my husband texted me, and I was crying. So excited!

p.s. Timeline has been updated. :D

Sure !

Don't bother with service request until 180 days have transpired, from the printed date on the NOA-1 document.

My wife just called uscis and talked with an IO. According to him IO can't put up a request just because we are requesting ... he gave some reasons which are like......emergency or govt. agency benefiting or military reasons......he also added that it may take 8 months for approval ..... what the hell.......

Looks like your wife was talking about expedite request not about service request due out of processing time

Why to bother with an expedite request?

Before you start to curse me :D - I'll suggest something else - the USCIS tele-operator was stuck in automatic mode, and wasn't listening to yer wife, at all. He answered a question that she didn't ask, and ended the call. Sorry.

strongly suggest you show her post #4426, then have her call again, get an ISO.

First off Congratz on new approvals :thumbs:

So I called USCIS since it's been about 2 weeks after my 5 months here and asked for an ISO and they put a service request on my situation, which I had once thought was some kind of an expedite but the ISO just told me it's a piece of paper telling me how much LONGER I may need to wait :blink: Anyways the good news is that there's no RFE as of yet so hope it stays that way and also it looks as though people have been getting their approvals right around or exactly 5 months & 2 weeks out from their NOA1 date. Mine was 4/13 so I hope to get the NOA2 next week!! You too Kruz and whoever else has a similar NOA1 date!! Let's send out good thoughts here!! :dance: :dance:

Loto, thats a given......lol.... have you seen the lightning speed they have been approving at? Ok, maybe lightning compared to be before. Since I am still waiting for my Step son's I-130 I still look at the approvals every day.... and my god, they have gone from maybe 9 in three weeks to 9 in 7 days..... that is some improvement! hopefully NVC will start doing the same so you don't have a waiting list to get in the door on that.

Met in 2004 at a Dave Matthews Band concert, started dating November 2005, engaged February 2009 and married November 14, 2009. Together in the US on March 19th 2011

2010-03-27: I-130 sent

2010-09-23: NOA2

NVC: (93 days)

2010-10-06: NVC Case Number assigned

2011-01-05: SIF and Case Completion!

2011-02-15: Medical in Toronto

2011-03-07: Interview approved (335 days from NOA1)

2011-03-10: Passport received

2011-03-19: POE - Buffalo, NY

2011-03-28: SSN received

2011-03-31: USCIS Welcome

2011-04-05: Conditional Green Card received

2012-11-30: Notice to file I-751 received

2012-12-12: I-751 (Remove of Conditions) sent

2013-08-16: Conditions removed. 10 year Permanent Resident Card received
