Don't like to think about the fact that there are some fraudulent apps. I have enough to worry about!!!

Four days of getting "touched" last week and then nothing. No new updates, no emails or texts (not that I ever got any emails or texts in the first place!) Called USCIS on Tuesday and was told they are working on March 29th apps. Maybe I am back on the pile.

I will be calling again soon. Maybe I should try this Ruth lady.

call/get an ISO? http://www.dhs.gov/xabout/structure/gc_1221837986181.shtm#5

Don't muck about anymore with a Tier 1 Human, they are mostly useless.

pointed questions to ask:

--casefile status

--any RFE coming in?

--my address is 123 Anywhere Lane/Jetson City/Arkansas 32212 - do you show the same address in yer records ?

Good Luck !

Loto

Thanx JD12 and Loto for answering my question

But, welcome letter will have a different receipt# and it was sent from Texas Service Center. Ok, this was 2 years back in our previous GC. Our previous I-130 was also from VSC.

To track plastic GC online at USCIS site, I think the receipt# in the welcome letter can be used.

Receipt # doesn't change, from NOA-1 to NOA-2. You won't have any 'entry' in the NVC AVR until about 1 week (maybe 2 weeks) after the casefile is approved at USCIS. No approval at USCIS? Impossible to get any MNL case # at NVC AVR.

a note to anyone calling into USCIS -

You should (IMO) ask for a Tier 2 Human, an ISO, when checking on case status.

See http://www.dhs.gov/xabout/structure/gc_1221837986181.shtm#5 for the differences between a Tier 1 Human and Tier 2 Human.

Sure !

Don't bother with service request until 180 days have transpired, from the printed date on the NOA-1 document.
