March 2010 CR1 filers

I think we all stuck with CA, the immigration processing timeline shows April 27, does it mean anything? should we care about it or is it like VJ timeline...

well it s supposed to be based on VJ members timelines, but i really don t know how they calculate it...

When I filed my I130, I prayed that mine goes to California. Because it has the shortest processing time. I got what I prayed for. But unfortunately, the time to process files in California went up. And in Texas it went down. How unfortunate!

I did the same ..... but today the things have chaged.....and I am not expecting my interview until dec-jan 2011. my wife might have to just visit me and go back alone.....which she hates....because we never travelled together till date....and she don't want to travel alone all by herself anymore....I mean ofcourse...who likes to travel alone after marriage.....on a journey/trip.

I would definately not look at the VJ timelines .. and won't even depend on it.......as it's just an assumption.....but in real right now none of the april filers have got approval........So I don't know if they are stuck at the april.....or what ?

Yup I haven't look at the VJ timeline for a while now. I dont think I will look either. Not worth getting excited and then losing the hope of getting something during that time period. Anyway, another day has begun and would like to wish you all GOOD LUCK.

well this is outright ludicris. i don't know what to think at all. there isn't any approvals and from my standpoint the nvc should be catching up because there hasn't been a lot of march approvals based on here. i have seen a lot of SIF the last few days so maybe they are getting caught up. i also see that it is getting a little faster.

Why can't CSC just forward some petitions to other service centers rather than prolong this endless backlog...and to make it worse lots of people are getting expedited on various grounds.

Because they just want to prove that NO WE CAN DO IT.....DON'T WORRY if you have to wait ... for 5 months....plz wait....but yes.....WE WILL BE WINNING THIS GAME.....AND REACH THE GOALS....it's a game for them....that's all

Um, no. It's not a game for them. It's a job for them. Have you every really given your 100% at work for months upon months? Probably not. You slack of now and then. It's human nature. USCIS workers do the same thing. I just wish there was consistent grind to the whole thing. If they say it takes five months, then it should take fives months. Not 3 months or 7 months. Exactly five months. Then we could have everything set in stone. But yeah... meh. I'm tired as heck and I'm sleepy.

Maybe but I was thinking more along the lines of Job Security... Its probably the largest office with the most people so they need to show that they are over worked ... haha

Everyone is just tired of typing same thing over and over.......the big great frustration.......but since last week I haven't seen any approvals..........where are those approvals.......that used to come in every week.....wow ...it's a killer silence.....in the town....

Still no answer here from USCIS and as of today I have hit the 5 month mark. I emailed the California Inqury desk in regards to my petition. I also set up an appointment with the USCIS office here in San Diego to speak with an immigration officer. I have my appointment on the 16th. If I get a response by then I will cancel my appointment.

Still the best of luck to all of the April filers and any other March filers still waiting.

I am thinking about setting up an appointment too. Just in case as it doesn't seem I will be hearing from them in the next two weeks. I will be out of the country for a week when my 5 month waiting time ends.

This appointment needs to be with the local office of USCIS for those who don't live in CA. Correct?

For instance, JD12's will be in NJ.

And do we need to set this up by using InfoPass?

You can set it up on USCIS.gov. So once you enter in ur zip code it will automatically let you know the closest place u can go.

No I haven't even made the appointment. I plan on talking to the state senator liaison tomorrow morning and see if they can contact USCIS directly to find something out. if they can't, then i plan on going with the appointment and just going ask them basic questions (i dont even have a copy of what was submitted so i am kind of in trouble but oh well. have the receipt number).

1) Any updates as I have been waiting for over 5 months?

2) Is there anything wrong with my case?

3) Any further evidence needed?
