What was the RFE for and how did you over come it? Thanks for letting us know. [/font]

My RFE was more of a harrassment as the attorney would say.

When I sent in my I-130 I sent copy of marriage license, pictures, emails, chat sessions, trip receipts and notorized statments from friends and family members. My wife has never been in the USA.

I received an RFE letter stating I lived in USA and wife lived in Ukraine (so they knew she was not in USA) and asked for proof of living together, property ownership, joint bank accounts etc...

Pretty much things impossible to give when person is not in USA.

I called an attorney. Attorney told me to send back the BLUE RFE paper and not to send back white paper with requirments being asked to be fullfilled. I was told to still write answers on paper but only send answers.

The attorney then told me to send every picture possible. Every email possible, and every chat session (5 years worth almost daily). I sent in every airline ticket from the two of us. Passport stamps, post office receipts for gifts I mailed. Moneygram receipts for money transfers. I sent in photocopy of my wifes engagment ring certificate and picture of her wearing. I bought wife car already and had it put in her name with receipt it was gift for me.

Long story short I sent a box of paperwork as attorney told me to do. He pretty much said send in so much they will regret they asked. Well after over $200 in printer ink and 3 packs of paper I sent everything in. Guess it worked. :thumbs:

-Interivew: 1/6/11- PASSED :D

-Visa received- 1/13/11

-POE FLL- 1/23/11 YES! BUTTTTTTT....still not reunited :'( (Reunited on the 24th)

I'm glad your RFE issue was resolved quickly. It's very refreshing to see a happy person after the dry spell of NOA2. :) May it all be that much more easier from here on out. Congratulation again.

I do not know what DCF is so I am guessing I am not and not sure why in my timeline. Sure I made some mistake with it.

You (petitioner) are in the U.S and your wife (beneficiary) in Ukraine. You filed her I-130 in the U.S with USCIS. That's right? Then you are not a DCF filer.

DCF (Direct Consular Filing) is when the petitioner is outside the U.S and files I-130 diretly to the Consulate over there, which is the fastest track in many countries.

One thing I was always curious about my filing. I live in Maryland and paperwork should have gone to Vermont yet it was sent to California. Always wondered about that.

Yes, you are a non-DCF filer. I have no clue why your petition went to CSC. All the concepts are lost here :-)

In computer terminology, chicago lockbox is a router and load balancer. All other SCs are the servers they process the request that they receive. Now it looks like that :-)
