Masry, We all struggle with this process. To do it in a language that is not your own must only make it 10X more difficult. Thats why I said get the US Citizen involved. My wife is not the USC and has not gotten involved much in this process. She dpoes however ask me the same questions on why so long. I told her not to shoot the messenger and if she really wants to know why she needs to visit VJ, Govt sites and READ>>> Well I dont think she has read anything yet but she stopped asking me questions. hahaha Now if I could just get her to follow directions...haha

You have sometime to get ready and even when you think you are you suddenly find yourself questioning thing. I think we all do that. Good Luck to you...

JD i know. i really think the slowdown is because of NVC. i been reading that a lot of people are behind in NVC stage. i think they will do what they can to stay within the five months and then for april they will do the same thing. stay within the five months, so by the end of august we all should be approved. i am trying to go see my wife in october.

TeyaValentina - You're right, there were so many things I didn't realise I'd miss until I got there. It's a weird feeling when you go into a grocery store, and you can't recognise the brands! When you're in your home country, you just take it for granted that you know which are the ones you like, the ones that are overpriced, the ones that are cheap and nasty. :) Having said that, I'm lucky since Australia is so similar to the US in a lot of ways, but then, it's disarmingly similar so it's even more shocking when all the differences come out in unexpected ways.

I'm gonna miss all my favourite Aussie TV shows too... lots of them can be downloaded though, so I'm happy. I'm REALLY going to miss watching live Cricket, and live Rugby. *sigh*

I got so used to driving on the Right-hand side of the road, that when I came back to Australia I had to constantly remind myself to KEEP LEFT (despite a lifetime of driving on the left!)

TomD- If you've never had a crumpet, you are missing out... they are soooo delicious. You're on the money about accented ENGLISH speaking people... (even though WE Aussies don't have an accent, the BRITS have an accent) I love a good steak too :)

JohnDoe - You and your "guess guess guess" got me all excited that an April 2 had an approval. :P When you get yours I will know that mine is not far behind (as we share the magic NOA1 date). Hey John, does your spouse and/or her family follow the cricket? If they do you'd be wise to look into how they can get their cricket fix when in the US online or on cable TV or something. :D

Hey Masry00 - Good luck for your journey.... I don't know who said it's "supposed to be easy"... it's really not easy at all sadly... but you will get there! It's really tricky to understand I know, not just for you but for all of us. It's even hard for my husband and I who have English as our first language. I'm not the US citizen in my case, but I'm Aussie. Just keep reading, reading, reading and asking questions. There aren't any stupid questions here on VJ.

Have a great weekend all!!!!

I think we can all use some cheering up! I'm glad you've got the cricket situation organised. I think we can all agree on the best team.... Australia! ;)

Fingers and toes crossed for NOA2s next week.
