Some good news: The recent slow down in approval happened after I predicted it looking at the following.

All the months used to say 6 months. Now it's back to 5 months again. So there will be an uptick in approval soon. Though how big it will be remains to be seen. But it should give some good sense into those of us who are waiting.

N400 CITIZENSHIP STAGE

23-DEC-2016 -:- N400 form mailed to Dallas, TX Lockbox (USPS EXPRESS)

27-DEC-2016 -:- N400 form delivered/picked up by USCIS

01-JAN-2017 -:- N400 form fee check cashed by USCIS

04-JAN-2017 -:- N400 form received per NOA1

09-JAN-2017 -:- N400 form NOA1 notice date

14-JAN-2017 -:- N400 form NOA1 on hand through USPS

30-JAN-2017 -:- N400 fingerprint taken

01-FEB-2017 -:- N400 interview schedule process started

26-JUL-2017 -:- N400 interview date set (01SEP2017)

29-JUL-2017 -:- N400 interview letter on hand

01-SEP-2017 -:- N400 interview date - Interview passed

So what are you saying Indigo? They will go crazy soon and a lot of approvals will be happening. i think so too because tey have a year end in september and they have to meet their goals. right now they are 4 months behind and can't let it get longer than that so i would assume that july they start getting really busy and approve a lot.

Okay I will be mister negative on this post. Or realist however you wish to see it.

I am not so sure we can put much faith in what their reported goals are or what their web site states with regards to time lines. Someone even posted that they received their NOA2 and the USCIS web site still didn't show them as being touched. What does that tell you? Government entities are renowned for always behind the production cure in my view. They are not know for their efficiency nor are they all that talented upon close review. Most are basically retired on the job.

I do however think all of the March NOA1 will be receiving NOA2 in July or RFE's as a worse case. Then that's only my opinion which doesn't count for much either.

As for me, I am just going to focus my time on what I can control, which is my paperwork that's needed to get through the NVC process. All the rest is just mental masturbation and will proceed as it may without any influence from me or my dire wishes otherwise.

I know when I look back at this whole lengthy process I will remember it similarly to my military experience. It will not be with fondness, although the final product will be its own reward...

That adjustment from 6 months to 5 months happened at least 2 weeks ago.

And yes, my paper Noa2 arrived 5 days after the notice date on the paper. But my online status is still initial review even now as I type this.

I agree, all we can do is keep patient and do the things we can control.

hi wasmah our timeline is about the same.. we got our noa1 of I-130 on march 25th...actually we filed for k3 but we send all of our documents at one time (the I-129f, I-130, g325 and other supporting documents) and we only get the noa1 of I-130 and it looks like we're gonna follow the cr1 path since no I-129f notice..

I don't know if USCIS is going to go crazy with their approvals anytime soon. It will be more of the same really looking at the graph below.

The jump in 2009 was due to new hire over at USCIS, I think. Plus some process change with FBI name checking. No new hires this year so yeah. It will be dragging along from what I can gather. Oh and someone said USCIS's fiscal year ending is on September. Maybe they rushed cases to meet the quote. Then it continued to October. Then they're like f this. We're going back to processing the way we were. We'll pick up toward the end of next year. :P

Your I-130 was approved in 120 days from your NOA1 date.

30th July 2010: NVC Received
14th Sept 2010: Case complete at NVC
22nd Oct 2010: Interview date assigned
19th Nov 2010: Interview at 7:30 A.M IST APPROVED
Passport with visa in hand on the same day.

N400 Sent: 31st Oct 2013

NOA1: Nov 4th 2013

Letter for Biometrics recievied with Appt on 12/09/2013: Nov 18th 2013

hope to see some good news in here tomorrow. I might have an answer for my AOSer. It looks like the mail was delivered but misplaced.

-APPROVED: 6/2/10

93 days from NOA1 to NOA2

-Received NVC case number: 6/9/10/10

-Gave NVC my e-mail address & e-mailed DS3032: 6/10/10

-Received NVC e-mails (DS3032 and AOS Fee)& paid AOS fee: 6/11/10

-AOS Fee shows as PAID & paid IV Bill: 6/15/10

-IV Bill shows as paid: 6/6/10

-Received IV instruction packet: 6/8/10

-Received dox from co-sponsor: 10/14/15/10

-Sent AOS package: 10/18/10

-AOS package received: 10/19/10-J.Desmond
