Yes, Yahya.. In india, the process is like this.. All marriages have to be registered with the local govt in 14 days after the wedding. So 3-4 days after our wedding in church, we went to the local govt body and gave them the application to register our marriage. They took the documents the church issued after the wedding.. and then they issued a 'marriage certificate' in 2 weeks. We included a copy of it along with I130. I think yes, some sorta certificate is required..

John, you have send that in, I hope?

Yes I did :)

i agree also. i think that i was married in the US which will help me more. we already did police certificates and medical from last year. looking at trhe timelines right now, all i ask is that this week they get through march 11th. seems like there is a lot of march 11th filers so if they can get through that date i would be extremely happy. let's go CSC.

let's gp csc. just get it through march 11th for the week. i am sure there are other approvals or RFE's. But the key for the week is to get through march 11th. because next week they should get through the middle of march then. like i said let's go...

well i will give you a little advice about change of address. i sent all my forms last year with no change of address and never changed it with anyoine but when my case went to NVC. i called them and told them about my change of address and they took care of it. i never did anything else. but that just happened to me so i don't know if that will happen for everyone. they were nice about it though and just changed my address. i never changed it again.

Awww! Thanks. I saw it on here and thought, "What?!?!?!?! He didn't tell me????" What a good way to wake myself up. Happy people from my group moving right along to be closer to their loved ones. I'd love to be alseep right now but since I can't do that, I am glad I at least got to hear some good news.
