Fiance was denied a visitor visa last year .... was not happy with treatment by interviewer. Does Abuja do interviews for K-1 and if so how do we get our case moved?

Thanks

Sorry but I have no idea if you can or not. If you can move your interview to Abuja I'll be watching closely because it would not be my first thought to - "oh yay, let's go back to the Lagos Consulate, for a post traumatic stress experience." LOL... Sorry I can't be of more help, but it struck my funny bone!

Take Care,

LOL they are not that slow. He got one in January, I'm just afraid that the consulate will say that because it's 5 months old (by the time of his interview) that they will have him go get another one. We are still trying to decide if he should go ahead and get another one.

Oh, BTW I see him next month in London.

It is great that you two get to see each other. The once a year trips to Nigeria are hard on the relationship. It is so much better now. Hopefully you don't get "The Asian Lady" for your interview.

HI, Pls I need to find out how exactly the lagos embassy got the beneficiary's email addr? There does not appear to be any provision for that on the forms filled? or was it sent to the petitioner ie the USC? Thanx.

On the embassy web site

f your K1 or K3 petition has been approved by the Department of Homeland Security and you have received notification from the National Visa Center that your petition is on its way to post, you should download and complete the following application. The U.S. Consulate General in Lagos will contact you to schedule your appointment. If you have questions on your appointment date, you should email LagosIV@state.gov. Appointments will be scheduled within four months of the approval date listed on your documentation from the Department of Homeland Security.K1 forms
