Well the time to move on has come upon me. Yeah I know. Don't let the door hit your butte on the way out.

I've been on VJ for about 4+ years. My wife got her USC in January and there's no longer any need for me to stay current with the immigration process.

Thanks to you guys that assisted me in the past. Hopefully I've helped others to ease the stressfull process from what I learned the hard way. You do have to stay current with the visa process to help others and give the correct information.

Just a little bit of incorrect advice can cause others a LOT of unneccesary trouble and grief.

I recently posted some wrong advice so it's time for me to say aloha.

Thanks again to all and for the visa journey Captain!

Later dude!!

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

:thumbs:Have fun partying!

You once wrote in one of my old threads:

First pinay I met online I went and stayed 2 weeks with in Cebu at the Plantation Bay Resort turned out to be a scammer. No problem tho as we partied and played for the 2 weeks. Had one of the best times I ever had in my life.

Next one even turned out even better!

We are still partying after 4 years!!

Aloha, si man. Enjoyed seeing you on here, si man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Hey - you approached the End Game, and Won.

No need to hang around, this 'new stuff' is f*cking tedious, even for me.

Good Luck with All !

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Thanks everyone. Hope you guys that are still in the process have a smooth ride to the finish. It was enjoyable at times [When good mail arrived]. and VERY frusturating at other times. When USCIS screwed up. USE YOUR SENATORS!! Mine fixed more than one USCIS screw up over the years.

Sure would like to find one of the USCIS operators in a dark alley that jumped all over me when I called twice in one day and got the same a- holly.

It was a the very first of the process. Told me I couldn't call again for 30 days. Heck I was just getting started and didn't know what the "rules" were! Only times in my life I had to hold my mug. kiss ####, and not say what I wanted to.

Also hope you guys end up with a continueing content relationship, family, as I have so far. It was worth all the BS and ####### I had to deal with.

Aloha.

I don't know what I'd do with myself if I didn't stay immersed in all things immi - even after hubby becomes a USC (later this year) - but I'm an oddball like that!

Happy trails!!
