I would be surprised if yuengling doesnt do a stout, but if they dont there are so many mirco breweries in that area of PA that im sure you will find something.

Well we'll be living in MD or VA but we'll find something. I think I recall him saying the Guinness over here is "manky" but oh well, lol.

I'm looking forward to just being with my fiance again. (I'm worried about going through AOS... and getting a drivers licence, and a job... and a bank account...) However I'll be glad just to be there with her, able to go through things together. Everything will be easier to deal with and more manageable when we're together.

I'm looking forward to learning to drive back to front (sort of) and being able to drive her places instead of the other way around.

I'm looking forward to being able to go and get the shopping.

(I'm not looking forward to seeing that fazing out expression that people get when I talk to them, as they aren't used to the way I talk or my accent...)

Oh lord,I want to do so many things but I think the first thing I want is to finally actually be with John:) and our dog Otto who sheds a lot!

I want to just soak in the nice clear Carolina sky and I am a complete sucker for rains, gloomy weather and there is a lot of it in North Carolina, all with my Indian cup of tea.

I also want to go to one of our favorite bars and have yuengling and just sit there with my group of friends and hang out.

I cannot wait to go to walgreens and cvs for all their fabulous deals on make-up and cute stuff.

I cannot wait to go grocery shopping to krogers and lowe's

I want to smell the freshly brewed coffee and sit in a bookstore and spend hours again:)

But I do really want to be get married and be a wife and see how that feels :)!

I'm going to Washington State, Whidbey Island.

I went to a Jack in the Box on the way to Concrete and one of the tellers asked me if I was from canada...

LoL, okay, I don't know what a 'Jack in the Box' is but I assume it's a food place? Anyway, try being a Kiwi! Our accent is so rare that we generally get asked if we're Australian, some English people have asked me if I'm South African (it happened most recently yesterday) and one unusual person asked if I'm Swedish. Take it as a compliment that they don't ask you which State you're from and actually recognise that you're foreign :)

Yeah, kind of backwards but I think that is a lovely thing to want to do. And it's always good to get away from the stress of work, especially as companies seem to be so mean about allowing time off over there.

I'm really looking forward to that moment where I'm sitting on a plane to California, with all of the stress of applying for the K-1 visa behind me. It's going to be so hard not to bust into a HUGE smile and try to act normal, even though I'll be more excited and happy than ever.

I'm also excited to get married at City Hall, wearing my fuschia dress and watch my mom get all teary-eyed :)

Oh, and I've got to give a big shout-out to Trader Joe's! Can't wait to make going there a regular part of my routine :D

I'm also looking forward to roaming the isles of supermarkets to find what is (and isn't) available...and where the heck in the stores to find things. The last few times I visited Tim, I had the hardest time locating ingredients for recipes I've been making for years. I'm so used to just going into the store, going straight to isle 4 for Worchestershire sauce for example, and being out through the checkout within minutes. I suppose because of different brands and labelling in the States, I won't be able to find items anymore simply by what they look like.

I work from home (UK citizen moved to the US) so tend to do most of the shopping. My first grocery shop took about 45 minutes to an hour (even though the supermarket is right next door and I only needed a few bits) - that was when I knew for sure that I was definitely in a foreign country!!

When I go back again, hopefully by May, I can't wait to visit Ithaca, NY as it is the most beautiful place on earth in the summer.

Also, I will eat 2 pounds of buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese.

And fries with cheese and gravy at a diner!

Yum!

And grocery shopping at Wegman's!

And book shopping at Borders!

I know this thread is old, but...;)

I'm a native of upstate NY-Ithaca is beautiful!

I miss Wegmans much, we have crappy grocery stores here. Have to drive up to NY later this month, may try to go.

Yum to fries and gravy!

Now I feel all nostalgic. :(
