Hi! :)

I have questions to ask. :star:

I have been to Japan (8 yeas ago) and stayed there for a year and 3 months. I read from here that I'll be needing Japan Police Clearance Certificate during the NVC process.

My questions are:

~ How soon can I request for Japan PCC? Is it as soon as I have our NVC case number assigned?

~ If we submitted the Japan PCC during the NVC process. Do I need to request for another PCC for the interview?

Thanks in advance :) .

Aloha

The Japan police clearance is not needed until your interview and you will need letter from U.S embassy requesting this. Once you have the NOA2 then this will get you into the embassy to request the letter that is needed at the Japan embassy. You have along ways to go before this happens.

We received the NOA2 in latter part of Oct 09. We went to the U.S embassy 2nd week of Nov 09, Got the request letter and then over the the Japan embassy, They processed it,Had us go to police station for my fiancee to be finger printed. We brought those back to the Japan embassy finished filling out required paperwork and was told 45 days to 2 months she would receive. It took total of 45 days. Once we had this then we set the interview. I know it is not possible to get the request letter before the NOA2 arrives as we tried to do just that 8 months prior to receiving the NOA2.
