I need some help answering a few questions I have.

1. In the last section of the guide HERE , where it says what to send to your fiance, do I really have to send an entire copy of my I-129F packet?

2. My fiance had her vaccinations at a young age, she had her vaccination card, but from bad weather and other issues....the card was either destroyed or lost. She can't get a new and updated card...will she be needing the card during the medical exam or can they run tests to see if she's actually vaccinated?

Your feedback is definitely appreciated. Thank you.

1. No. Unless you are going to be there with a copy of everything, I would send her an entire copy of everything. If they need something, it is best to have it there.

2. Yes, tests can be done. I am not sure they would do them at the medical exam and I am not sure it is easier or cheaper than having new ones before the exam.

So you would recommend I send everything?

So you would recommend I send everything?

I scanned all the pages and sent a soft copy to my fiance and I told him to just print everything out. its pretty much the same as sending an entire copy via snail mail. :) hope it helps.

Its highly advisable to have two complete copies of everything. Send one to your sweety and keep one for yourself. Its not uncommon for the consulte to "lose" or "misplace" things! Always advisable to have backups.

As far as the vaccinations go, it may be more expensive to have tests done to try and confirm vaccinations than to have them done again. I know in Vietnam it was dirt cheap to get vaccinations. There is a minimum required for her to enter the US (for Vietnam it was just td vaccine). Were completeing the rest here as we speak (and at the local health department for no charge to boot!)

The purpose of the complete copy for the beneficiary is primarily for their study. They need to know what has been filed and the information about YOU in what has been filed. They are unlikely to "NEED" the copy for anything else but it's good insurance.

You can have a tither test done, this is a blodd test to identify what you have already been exposed to. I am having it done, same situation!..I am having my shots doen before the medical, not sure about your location but much cheaper to do it prior to the medical, just ensure you keep all records.

Good luck!
