A few half literate dudes with guns, baseball caps and a truck bed full of crushed Coors cans do not "defend" anyone's freedom ;)

Foolish to rely on owning guns as a means to protect civil liberties?

May be one of the most moronic statements ever made here. Wow.

Yeah - cause it works so well in Somalia and Afghanistan, doesn't it ;)

 Well, can this get any more silly? People in the UK don't really think about the American revolution any more, we've moved on, it was over 200 years ago. ;)

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Hell even in France people have gotten over the whole Napoleon thing, at least to the point that it is a topic of current conversation.

Not in the US it seems, some folks are still living in the the 18th venture. Too many rednecks apparently.

 Don't mention the war - I mentioned it once but I think I got away with it...

It wasn't that long ago that Britain really needed weapons badly and was broke and BEGGED for help. They didn't seem to see any problem when a certain country flooded theirs with weapons to help defend them. Of course after their enemies were crushed thoroughly with no potential for future threats then they decide that weapons are bad and even become such an expert that they think they can lecture others on the evils of weapons.
