So perhaps you should allow for some legislation so that 'people like me' can't get their hands on one? Or, do you advocate that 'people that are dangerous when they have a gun' should simply be allowed to run around with one anyway? All in the name of what? Civil liberties? Personal safety

just outta curiosity, mc, are you planning on applying for citizenship?

Of course.

you'll be happy to know this then:

I hereby declare, on oath, that I absolutely and entirely renounce and abjure all allegiance and fidelity to any foreign prince, potentate, state, or sovereignty of whom or which I have heretofore been a subject or citizen; that I will support and defend the Constitution and laws of the United States of America against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I will bear arms on behalf of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform noncombatant service in the Armed Forces of the United States when required by the law; that I will perform work of national importance under civilian direction when required by the law; and that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; so help me God

Well its not as though there is ANY debate whatsoever among USC's about what the second amendment actually entails ;)

Apparently being a USC requires lockstep obedience and homogeneous opinion.

And I thought this was the land of the free, now I'm being told that it is the land of the sheep!

Go figure ;)

more like the oath taking ceremony probably is not the best place for her to say something about the parts of the constitution she doesn't like. ;)

I don't object to the constitution, I just think people are extremely foolish to rely on owning guns as a means to protect civil liberties, which is exactly the position I have maintained in this thread. What a surprise.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .
