Like the opinion said, They are hiding a flow in their defense systems, Nobody will know what really happened? How did those soldiers got kidnapped, the news is wrigged, Those soldiers were taken in Confrontation with Hezbollah in southern Lebanon, to the media they say Hezbollah came into Israel to kidnapped them.

Hmmm i thought that would scare them, can you imagine if those terrorist can come in and Kidnapped israeli solidiers if you beleive their story

That would be a major security threat for the states of Israel, How many terrrorist would be able to infiltrate and do serious damage.

The only way for Israel to defeat Hezbollah is to hit them with everything they've got and

kill 'em all. Every single one of them. If there are any civilians left in Southern Lebanon,

make them leave NOW. Anyone who chooses to stay is fair game.

A question for those who are into military history.

Has a conventional military force beaten a well-armed and well-organized guerilla group anywhere, in recent history? If so, how?

No, haven't heard of that for a while. When it comes down to it, the only way a organizaed military has ever crushed resistance/guerilla movements is through brute and atrocious force. But even that didn't always do the job and is looked down upon for obvious reasons. Also, it seems to be more successful when the enemy is within one's country rather than somewhere else.

Not to break your bubble, but lots of the people in the countries on your map would be pretty pissed if you called them Arabs. Also, the Middle East has always been a multicultural place with Jews, Muslims, and Christians living next to each other.

campaign for a few days to give them a chance to leave.

And where exactly should they go?? It's not like Lebanon is a big country or that Israel or Syria (its neighbors) would be happy to take in a bunch of Lebanes refugees.

As to bombing Southern Lebanon, it took almost 15 years for the infrastructure to be rebuild and it took Israel a week to destroy most of it. The Southern part of Beirut actually looks worse than after the civil war, and it will take ages to rebuild it. So, once the bombing is over where do you suppose the civilians should go then. Their houses (if they have any to begin with; many people still live in tents in refugee camps) will be rubble.

I think it is very easy to say, oh yeah let them bomb Southern Lebanon to smithereens, if you're sitting comfortably in the US where most people only know air bombs from the history channel, but if you've ever seen what bombed up land looks like and how much effort it takes to make it habitable again, you would think differently.
