After filing petition, then...........

I'm going to be filing my petition very soon. After filing the petition, assuming I don't have any referrals, is there anything else on my end that has to be done in America?? Or could I go over and wait with her in China?? Because I think this is going to be our plan....I'd go over there to study and be with her during the waiting time.

Hmmmm, for example, if I fill out the I-134 form in August (2006), would it still be valid in say June 2007 around interview time?? Or do I have to fill that out following the approval of the petition or at a later date??

After filing is there anything then that has to be done from America, or at that point could it all be taken care of from China??

Thank You!

You def. need a US address. What if you get an RFE or other papers you need to sign?

I believe the I-134 is only valid for like 6 months.

There is nothing preventing you from going to stay there as long as you have US mailing address that someone will receive your mail and be able to contact you in case you get an RFE.

The I-134 is supposedly good for one year.

Or e-mail them, so you can have a written answer.

Also, you'd have to submit documents in connection with the I-134. Be sure to check what is needed so you can be sure that you can get those documents before going to China or while in China.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

I-134 is good for ONE year in China as I know, but the later the better. Usually applicants start to get I-134s after they get their I-129F (NOA2) approvals.

Mar 21, 2006 - I-129F Sent to CSC

Mar 28, 2006 - I-129F NOA1 received

Jul 21, 2006 - Email from USCIS, the RFE received

Aug 31, 2006 - NOA2 Approved
