A few questions:

Once the process of obtaining a K-1 Visa has been put in place am I still able to freely enter the U.S. for other reasons? I live right on the border and enter the U.S. often to shop, as well as visit my fiance.

I have saved up a significant amount of money by working full time and living at home with my parents. I was planning on using this money to support myself while visiting my fiance for an extended period (not longer than 6 months). Will this cause any issues while going through the K-1 process or the AOS process?

Are there financial requirements for the K-1 Visa? My fiance is a student and his schooling is paid for because he was a Marine. He has a very limited income outside of this since he is in school full time. Will this hinder anything?

Once we're married are our honeymoon locations limited to places within the U.S.?

Going through the K-1 visa process does not have any implications on how long you are allowed to visit the states, just make sure you're not there for longer than 6 months in a calendar year. Though it is important to keep in mind that US immigration officials have the right to deny you entry if they determine you do not have strong ties to your home country, so be prepared to answer questions at the border if you are visiting for a long term period.

There are financial implications for the K-1 visa. Your fiance must prove that he can support you upon your arrival in the US. Check out the example forms on VJ for the affadavit of support form (I-134 I believe). He will have to state his income, assets, etc. There are certain guidelines he must meet in regards to income. If he doesn't meet them, you can get a co-sponsor. I would look into this asap since it is a key part of the process and occurs once your initial I-129F has been approved.

You can honeymoon outside of the US but it requires an additional form. Take a look at the Guides and Flowchart for a K-1 visa for more info. Basically, once you enter the US, you will have difficulty leaving and coming back in again until your status is adjusted, so it's a better idea to plan a honeymoon within the USA.

Good luck and welcome to VJ!
