How long for the police certificates?

I imagine each region is different but I am curious and a little concerned.

Olga was to go get her police certificates in Vladivostok in June but her mother became ill with appendicitis. Now her mother is doing better and she is planning on going this week or next.

Since we received NOA2 I have explained to her that it is very important that she gets the police certificates ASAP since I know some places this can take a LONG time.

My question to you all is how long did it take for your other halves to receive theirs and where they received them from! I'm hoping to get a good idea how much of a delay this may cause.

We got our police certificate in under two weeks from the Tomsk regional office. My fiancee at the time only resided in one place since the age of 16.

Elena's took several weeks (probably just over a month to a month and a half) to get. She got the police check from Khabarovskiy Krai but was living in Vladivostok (Primorskiy) at the time, so maybe that's why it took so long.

Throughout this entire process, she was living in Vladivostok at her sister's flat, but had everything done through her home of record in Khabarovskiy Krai. Never was a problem. I guess they looked at it about the same way she did, she wasn't really living in Vladivostok, just staying there for a while until this visa process is done. As long as they could check all her papers for her home of record, I guess that's all they really cared about.

I believe Tanja got hers within 2 weeks, in Omsk. It did not seem to take too long.

All depend from place living her fiancee. In general, it takes 3-4 weeks. Only if your fiancee lives in one place living (region/oblast in russian) and didnt move in other regions/oblasts after 16 age.

Maria's took about 1 month in Ekaterinburg but she had many different answers from them and when it would be completed. One day she went in and the refused and granted within the day and she walked out with the papers. I so proud of her persistance as I might have lost my cool B)
