Hey guys!! I'm a little saddened today...I received my 1st RFE e-mail today...so I guess I have to wait until they actually send it to me to find out what it is. I think that's dumb! I think if you sign up for e-mail notification that should at least be able to indicate what the RFE is in reference to---but that's neither here nor there...so, I'LL WAIT!!!

PS..Congrats to those folks that have been getting approved here lately!!!

There have been some people who used the new I-129F form who still get the IMBRA RFE. That might be all it is.

You have just started the process so you should be able to send it back quickly and not delay your approval. It may be something very simple. Many people do not get any RFEs but many times it is just something that you forgot to include and does not really delay the process especially when it comes early like yours did.

I'd be willing to bet it's the notorious IMBRA RFE. You'll just have to wait and see. If this is the case you will just repeat the same thing you did in the application. I included a cover letter saying I already answered these questions in the original petition. Good Luck

That's a good idea. If I'm able to mail out our petition over the next few weeks like I'd like to, do you think I should do that in my cover letter as well? Or is it late enough for me to be "safe"?

We received our first RFE e-mail today as well, at least its here now as my fiance flies back to me in Salzburg begining of Sept. (stays till Dec.) and that would complicate things some what.

Can anybody tell us what happens (US Mail wise) after receieving the NOA2, I mean if we managed to get the NOA2 before she comes to Austria for 3 months will she be expecting any over notifications or forms to fill in etc.?

didnt they update the forms to reflect the new changes so ppl dont get RFEs?

They did...but apparently THAT DOESN'T MATTER!!!! I completed the updated I-129F...Anywhoo, for all of you veterans up here...today was the 1st time that the "Receipt Date" was changed...Previously it stated July 14, 2006 and the "Last Updated" date was the only thing that changed...is that good or bad??

Yes, they have new petitions. However, they have been sending IMBRA RFE's to people even if they used the new petition. It hasn't happened to everyone but some. I was one of the ones who got an IMBRA RFE even after using the new form.

I think you may have misunderstood me. I sent a cover letter for my RFE reply. But it might be a good idea to point out that you used the new petition in your cover letter for filing, why not?

Oops, yes I did misunderstand you, sorry. I'm going through VSC like you. You sent in your petition in June, when the new form had already been out, so that's what made me wonder. Though if they're gonna send a IMBRA RFE to someone who used the new form, that means they didn't look... and if they didn't look, I doubt they'd read the cover letter.:lol: I'll put a note about it in there anyway, try to cover my bases as I can.
