Was wondering if anyone could provide help with this.

Our situation - my wife and I are planning to move in July, and she has been living here since Jan 2009. She has applied to college in the US, and is waiting to hear about her acceptance. She has also applied for a FAFSA grant for college. We have an offer of accommodation with either her mother (in a house) or her grandfather (in his apartment). Her voter registration and banking address is at her grandfather's address, and she has all of her school mail sent there.

She has very few UK ties, and hasn't worked whilst in the UK - a national insurance number, a joint bank account, and her name jointly on a few bills.

I'm thinking of submitting:

1 - Her college acceptance, which she should have by the time of the interview.

2 - A letter from her grandfather, offering accommodation at his apartment.

3 - Bank letters from the USA

4 - Her voter registration, if possible

Would this be sufficient, or would more be necessary.

Does anything think that there will be a problem with me scheduling my medical before I send in my Notification of Interview Readiness? I want to get it out of the way, but don't want to risk missing out on my documents. In peoples' experience, if I send it in this week, how long before I could expect my interview?

We scheduled my husband's medical the second the packet arrived and we had our case number, so I know you don't have to have the DS-2001 sent and logged in before you make/have the appt.

We sent the form and notification checklist off on Feb 19th, and got the appt letter on March 12th, for an April 22nd interview. (We found out the interview date a few days prior by calling the DOS number, so be sure to have that handy if you're at all impatient like me.)
