I agree that we will all get used it, we had to when we joined so it is just evolving. My only problem so far is the speed and as was mentioned that will speed up in a few days so the rest I will learn to deal with.

has anyone else noticed this new "rank the post" thing? never saw this before..and i really dont like it. i can see it getting out of hand due to stupidity...honestly..do we need to say what we think of the post/poster? i only realized it when i saw a few of our cdn posts with a big red -1 on them..and was like #######..then i hoverd over it and the signs and i see "vote post up or down"....

It coincides with the Reputation on each poster's profile page, so that users can gauge the worth of their advice without relying on post count alone (as we all know, that doesn't necessarily mean good advice - quite the opposite in some cases).

I like it and don't like it. I'm trying to consciously click it when I see someone shelling out good advice. I have only hit the negative button a couple of times for truly ridiculous and unhelpful posts.

The thing I don't like is that, someone who perhaps doesn't know the exact ins and outs of something, chooses to try to help (as we all do sometimes), and maybe doesn't give a spot on answer. So they should get a negative post score? I don't think so... Yet I wonder if that's not going to be the case.

Can anyone tell me how to find specific posts?? I used to be able to type in the name of the post, or phrased...would take me to a listing of a bunch of possibilities and then I could click on one and it would take me there...now..NADA..

I still get to the info page....but I click on the post name or [posters name and it just takes me back to the forums page??? Am I missing something??

I was noticing today that profile pages now seem a lot easier to read and navigate. Before I never used the comment feature because it was really weird and tucked away. Someone could comment and you wouldn't even notice it for weeks! Now you can't miss it. So I give that feature a thumbs up.

As far as the actual forums, I'm finding that the wide-screen computer and all the text is starting to bother me. My husband has a really big monitor, so I find myself getting lost in the long sea of text. Maybe it will look better on my laptop...

Plus, in a month you won't even remember what the old place looked like. Trust me!

Trust me, I will remember how it looked and I still won't like this.

For me, I can only see one post per screen, each post box is 6 inches high - of around 11 inches of viewing space.

In order for you to see what I see, you would have to come to our house and look at this screen of pale grey and pale blue frames - spread across this large computer screen, where everything runs in to the next thing. It is not aesthetically pleasing to me and never will be, even in a month. But hey, that's me, some people might like it.

I really liked the old format of the forums as it was easy to do everything. I'll work to get used to this of course but change isn't needed just for change sake Lol

My wife has been back since June 5, 2007. Now we're just livin' man, L I V I N :)
