Not digging the new look

Think I'm just cranky - but the UI is kind of pale.....does that makes sense? I prefer more definitive frames around things

I agree. As someone else stated in another thread somewhere, I use a widescreen resolution, and find it very unappealing to look at when text isn't properly formatted, but instead scrolls all the way across the screen.

I'm happy to see the lagging, at least, went away.

It's a more advanced board layout, I understand.. and while I'm sure those that have been here much longer than I found the old one to be rather boring after all of these years... but I'm not really a fan of the change.

Oh, and I giggle at the profile status...

Yeah, that was me, the whole widescreen thing - it's too weird. Replying to stuff is really annoying with that great big sea of text.

The question is, did we need a more advanced board layout? Was there something wrong with the old one? Were people complaining about a lack of info or features? I mean they may well have been, I don't know.

I liked the old layout, easy to read, stuff was easy to find, didn't see anything inherently wrong with it.

maybe i'ts just my mozilla, but when i browse new topics i can't tell what is what in each column..they are all light blue! i r sad panda...feels like my contrast was upped a few voltz

there had been talk of this new look coming for a few weeks or even months now...

most of the talk was in the Site discussion board... but I think there was mention of it in Off Topic too...

I noticed mention of the fact that there had been a beta look and all that - wish I'd known at the time.
