hey Huggles!!

Yeah, I totally expect it to ease up, it was such a surprise to me, i've only been here a little bit over 2 weeks so... how's the new house working out??

Nice to see/read you too!

And Darkchilde... you said it, it IS that, this is NOT a holiday anymore, it's real life -- easy stuff to figure out as we're all smart but when it's really hitting you/me/us it's like, "what?"

you guys rock...

you really do.

:D

Hi lgg!!

Glad to hear you're alive in well!

The homesickness thing gets a lot easier in time. It still pops up on ya every now and then at weird moments, but for the most part, that everyday feeling of being a little lost and a little out of place vanishes. The first month or so was hard for me, but now I've adjusted so well this is home to me. Having your hubby and your little fluff ball will work wonders :)

You are going to be JUST awesome, Bern... have you seen your husband yet? When will that be?

As for the kitties, it's just the cat that my husband has -- she is NOT impressed with my cat at all. My cat has lived with other cats before and doesn't give a hoot really but she will get mad if she's swatted at or hissed at. She's tried to make friends with the other cat. Sad thing? Husband's cat is super mad at me as I'm sure she's realized that I'm at fault here for bringing in the other cat.

Put in an order yesterday for some Feliway and hopefully that'll help a little bit.

I know... this is what I spend my days doing... cat herding!! :D Well, until my SSN arrives that is.

Thanks for you well wishes, Bern -- right back at you.

:)

Thank you LGG. I hope you don't feel as homesick soon, and hopefully your kitties will get along soon...*hugs* <3

Bern, COOL, you're going to interview soon -- very exciting -- if you need a hand with anything let me know, okay?

La Souris, Bonjour, ma belle... sorry for being so un-chatty -- just getting used to actually living here. It's a lot harder than I'd thought, for the first time in my life, I am suffering from some home-sickness, who knew???

Wyatt? you already know what I think...

Nev? Where you be, sister?

to everyone else, hey, hope you all had some good coffee... I really feel the loss of that hour, it should NOT be almost 4pm right now -- i am off to go have a late lunch/early dinner with some friends here in MD... I just wanted to ask all my Canadian friends here this, the ones that are living in the US with their spouses/spouses to be now... have you ever felt homesick? it's so odd I don't miss one thing per se but I miss my routine and my jobs and my friends and the 'thing' that is Canada I suppose -- I am THRILLED to be here and my husband and I are awesome and he rocks but I never expected myself to feel this way and I realize that acclimatizing is a little more work than I had thought.

I do love living where I do though for the first time in my life I actually want/need to drive -- can't wait to get that done. I love the woods and the trees and the quiet here. I love our house and being here and I can't wait to get everything else on the go but first? I have to get my license and a car and then I can go from there.

I LOVE that my cat is here -- she's adapted so well to the her new couch under the window. She and the other cat are NOT friends at all -- in fact, I think the other cat mortally hates me for bringing my cat here. She won't let me pet her and she meows at me with such urgency and then swats my hand away when I try to pet her. :( At least my old lady cat is semi-happy.

So... that's a little PM for all my friends here. Hope you're all doing well too.

Merci beaucoup :) It will get better... driving, getting around more easily. I'm really happy to hear about the old cat being happy lounging in the sun - maybe her and her roommate will become courteous to each other, slowly. I'm still très sad about leaving Mimine here :(

Getting ready for my man's arrival - lucky me he's coming for the interview and will stay for the week :P

À bientôt la Grenouille!

Nope, I haven't seen him...since July 2009. ): You have no idea how hard it was to not just get up and go to the US for his homecoming, but that would have been $1000 that I can't afford to spend..haha! But yeah, he just got back from Kuwait last night, he's all safe and back where he should be. And now he's apartment huntingg. =) And he's going to send me a new I-864 and what not -hopefully- Wyatt's gotten to me, I think I'm very overprepared!

Oh blurgh 1000$! Well, soon enough you'll be together in the new apartment and all will be well! Nothing wrong at all with being over-prepared! Especially since if they do require something of you, no matter how little, it'll take them weeks and weeks to rectify! I say be obscenely over-prepared rather than not.

Soon enough, bern... it goes a lot faster than you'd think!

The house is great! I'm still in the process of making it home, but we're getting there. The big thing right now is furniture, I need more furniture but we're both ridiculously picky and have had the hardest time finding things we love!

Bern- that's so exciting! Welcome back to your hubby :)
