Spouse visa option

I am planning to get married in India in June'10. My soon to be wife was told that she has options to work in US on L1, she has previously been to US on B visa for short-term assignments.

a) So I am wondering if I should let her come on L1 and file AOS (if so, how long should I wait before filing AOS, since we may have to re-register our marriage here). Or whether I should go ahead and file for CR-1 after marriage in India (since K3 is dead).

b) How long is L1-AOS-GC taking these days (I heard 5-6mos).

c) Are there any implications to her L1 status/employer relationship and travel outside of US, while her AOS is pending? I read that Advance Parole is needed to travel outside when AOS-Pending, true?

I really think coming over on L1 and getting re-married here is a good option for a faster GC processing.

d) I would like a link/info on how to do L1-AOS paperwork.

Married is married. If you are legally married in India, that's all the married you need. L1 to AOS is the same as any other AOS except AOS from K1. Follow the AOS guide for "how".

I can't reliably advise on travel using the L1 visa while AOS is in progress but I suspect there's no problem. If concerned, then try to obtain emergency advance parole or time your process to avoid travel.
