Yeah...I was wondering why they are so important. Size/scale of icons and fonts is everything when it comes to visual clarity. I hope that the Captain will tweak with the sizes so that what is most most important is most visible.

I adjusted the text of the forums to properly stand out and match the icons .

Yep. It is set per computer right now versus saving to the database. Saves queries. Google, Yahoo and others are hitting us hard reindexing the new urls .

That's what I'd figured, thanks. The per-computer setting makes it difficult to track what I've read at work when I go home, but if it's temporary, I don't mind suffering for a few days!

Doesnt make me want to log in all that much any more....

Too much happening...all we need is a crisp clean site with no frills.

i personally feel there is too much happening on this new layout...get me back my old VJ and I will be here more often.....puleeeeeeezzzzeeeee

The "go to first unread post" button isn't working, sends me back the the first post in the thread. Other than that it will just take a little getting used to.

They were dropping support and the product would have been unsupported and open to hacker attacks without security updates. I delayed over a year in upgrading -- had to happen eventually.

I'm still getting upwards of 50 emails a night with replies to threads I'm watching. I have it set to delayed response, and still I'm finding this.

Is it just a bug that needs to be worked out, or do I simply need to stop watching threads I reply to (which isn't desirable, but is a better option than getting my inbox flooded each day/night)?

I'm getting used to the layout itself.. though I will say it's still tiring to read through walls of text with a widescreen resolution. I suppose that will also become easier with time, but it's certainly limiting the amount of time I spend on here currently. It's just very hard to drag my eyes the width of the screen for each post.

honestly? go back to how it was. I thought I would get used to it but I really hate it. Too much white on the left side when browsing topics. also, in the old way pinned threads were placed in separate boxers and therefore easier to find and stood out better as being "important"

what about "find posts" by member? the results come up as threads which makes it difficult to find a specific post from the user you are looking for

I would also add that when I click the orange box with the arrow, it is constantly taking me back to the first post - not to the first unread post like it is supposed to do. I realize some of this may have been lost with the launch of the new site, but since then I am repeatedly being taken to the first post instead of the first unread post.

I checked. You have many many trackers set to immediate notification. I can change that to delayed if you want. There are over 300 topics you are subscribed to like this.
