Make sure you are only using internet explorer. Other browsers will not work. If you had the option to save the .dat file then you should be able to just continue or upload the copy you were working on.

Once it's done, you should also have the option to email yourself the whole thing and the confirmation page. Dont worry about the picture part, it sometimes works sometimes dont. you can just bring an extra pic with you when you go to the interview.

make sure you are accessing it from this link: https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/

also there are examples here on vj..up above on the title bar you should see example forms, select that and you should see k1 forms.

start over your form, select consulate, and you should have an option to resume / upload a previous petition.

It took me at least 6 attempts to get it to work til the end and print properly.

Saving the form did not work everytime, so even though I had saved it, I couldnt upload the file again after I got error messages. That did work eventually... but not everytime.

Download version 8 of Internet Explorer if you dont already have it. That might help.

Good luck... Keep trying. Most likely it's not you; it's a "pilot program" and it just not perfected yet.

the file number sounds right... I got something similar.

You have to do Continue Application, and on its own, it will bring you to a page where you can print the application and the confirmation page as well as email the confirmation page.

The confirmation page has some instructions on the top half, then the photo if you managed to upload it, a bar code, and a few lines with your name, nationality, passport #, confirmation # and date completed.

I feel your pain... it took me HOURS to get it to work, and in the end, I didnt do anything different to get it right...

Do you have Internet Explorer 8 installed?

Good luck!

If i recall correctly it wont hurt if you just recreate one from scratch.. it could be the one you started got borked somehow. but someone else can chime in on if creating a new ds 160 will do anything problematic .

It doesnt hurt to do another one, it is electronically sent to the consulat but they also request a paper copy of all pages including the final " confirmed " page with barcode etc from you. That photo you posted DD is not the correct confirmation page, that page is a SAVE confirmation, it means you saved the form, not that you completed the form. I had to do my form twice as well.

so, now that I got this one right, I need to share with everybody out there who might have the same problem.

Make sure you go through the picture download process, even if it's not accepting it, it will let you continue your application and get you to the CONFIRMATION page!!!!!!!!! Hope nobody else have to spend 2 days on this one! Good Luck!
