No, you don't have to include the I-131 in the AOS application, but you may as well, because it is included in the fee for the AOS.

A lot of VJ members didn't think they would need AP, and then an unforeseen emergency came up, and they wished they had applied.

The choice is yours, but there's really no reason not to apply for it.

Good luck.

You do not NEED to but the fee is WAIVED, not included, if you apply for AOS at the same time.

Not filing for it doesn't change the AOS fee. It's always better to have it, just in case, then worry about it down the line.

Once you receive the greencard you don't need it though. Sometimes getting the GC takes a while which is why you apply for it, and the EAD so that in the meantime you can work and travel if needed.

Actually, the fee is included.

When fees were increased in July, 2007, the cost for adjustment of status was set specifically to include the interim benefits I131 and I765. Prior to the combined fee, the applicant paid separate fees for each benefit.

Moreover, should the applicant fail to file for the I131 or I765 when I485 is filed, he can file late for them AT NO COST if he can prove he has already paid for them by producing his NOA1 for the I485.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

If you want to turn in I-131 after AOS filed, you have to attach a copy of NOA1 for AOS and fee is waived.

Whatever it is, it is up to you for filing AP or not.

Good Luck!
