Nice! good news about your husband.

How long are you in town for? What do you like to do?

Do you like shopping? I love to walk on St-Denis street... there are tons of little boutiques and cafes. La Banquise is a restaurant in that area that is renowned for their poutines. They have all kinds.

St-Laurent boulevard is cool too.

You can also walk around the Old Port... It's in Old Montreal, which is really cool too, with cobble-stone streets and old buildings.

Do you like things that have to do with nature & ecology?

One thing we have planned for next time Matt is in town is a visit to the Biodome. Its a really unique nature "museum"...

It's raining today but the weather is supposed to be great all week.

let me know what you like and I'll give you more details if you want.

Old Montreal is absolutely beautiful. Hubby and I spent a lot of time there! We went there for coffee at some little cafe (cant remember where now) at St. Paul St or something. There was also a really cute restaurant we went to that is open for roof top seating (I guess its too early for that) in that little nook.

I also loved the Eaton mall (I think that was the name). Loved all the shops though it can get super crowded!

Theres this WONDERFUL Italian restaurant north of Berri UQuam. I cant remember the name but its a few blocks north from the subway and it was delicious! If you are walking north from the station, its on the left side.

You and your MIL should explore the place while youre there. Its absolutely beautiful and easy to get around :) Good luck!!!

Finally married... and still married... ;)

So just another question, do you line up on the left side of the consulate doors with those yellow poles behind you? lolol D:

And for anyone who did their medical at Medysis, if my appointment is at 9am, should I go at 8am, or 8:30am? And did anyone get Dr. Dubois? (Spelling isn't accurate haha)

THANKS!!

I had Dr. Dubois. He's an older man. As you already know, he was nice to me and everything went ok. My appointment was in the afternoon and I was there "on time" and didn't have to wait more than 2 minutes after filling the questionnaire.

Poutine: My favourite is at La Banquise: http://www.montrealpoutine.com/reviews.html

If you like chocolate, stop by Juliette et Chocolat http://www.julietteetchocolat.com/

Good luck with everything :)

Good luck :thumbs::thumbs:

While in Montreal Schwartzs Delecatessen up on St. Laurent BLVD. is a must place to go to.

If you have the time drop in for the best smoked meat sandwich you can ever get.

Agreed  +3. :) Yvonne and I went last time I was in Montreal in 2008 -- she, the veggie girl, had a pickle and fries while I had a sandwich. She said we can stop by again while we're in town. :D
