Abandonment [of Legal Residency] is what the OP's mother has done now that she has remained outside the US for over a year without previously applying and obtaining a re-entry permit. Misrepresentation and fraud is what she practiced so far by not living in the US, only visiting a few months out of the year. IT, if you can't understand the difference, then perhaps you need to read the VJ guides and brush up on immigration law as it pertains to permanent residency in the US.

Whatever the case, the OP's mom may have serious trouble in attempting to enter the country as is. It would be best to inquire with the US consulate in Pakistan(or USCIS) to see if a re-entry permit(advance parole) can be obtained before she makes the flight over here. An LPR with a 15 month absence and no AP will surely be flagged at POE and chances are good that entry will be denied.

I have read thats why I know this will consider Abandoned. I read again, did you?

Amazing how you just passed the judgement. Obviously you are a person with no compassion. Do you really think this is something being done intentionally? Please, do not waste my time by replying.

It's not an issue of compassion. It's a legal issue. You mother is using her residence visa as a tourist visa, and that is in fact a reason for it's revocation. Here's what you should do. Make an infopass appointment and inquire whether it's possible to change the residence visa to a tourist visa. Say that your Mom decided she didn't want to live here after all, but she wants the option of visiting her relatives here whenever she wants.

Do you know this for a FACT or have you just been told this?

I kow it for a FACT. It's my friends mother and until now she is still in the Philippines. I don't know how much they paid but it's not more than P10k. I'll ask her the details next time I talk to her
