affidavit of support for aos

ok as per my previous post...

is it required to list employer info employer letter etc or just helpful from what i could read the only thing required is the tax records and w'2s 1099 etc...ask because i am recently in a layoff status so am unemployed but i work as a union contractor so that isnt uncommon my income is ok 42k last yr including unemployment 37k without just want to know for income can i just submit tax info

Also i dont know the best way to list myself as self employed or employee again cuz technically im both..maybe best to also include a letter of explanation???????? your thoughts are appreciated

Are you talking about having an employer's letter as a supporting document for the I-864? I don't see that it's a requirement, but in my case it was.

My wife filed an I-864a and stated that the household member is also the intending immigrant. If I recall correctly, it stated to include a letter from employer that intending immigrant will continue to have same source of income...or something to that effect.

I would definitely attach some kind of explanation. Not sure if they'll read it, but it wouldn't hurt.
