I guess what my thought is, I would like to see the modal values. Where on the scale the most prevalent values are, since I am sure it cannot be $5.00.

I'm reading the study, the modal values may be in there.

I wonder if they control for a black woman married to a white man how that affects wealth?

They do have data in there for married vs unmarried. It makes a significant difference.

Felt our net worth was about five bucks after taxes. City, township, county, state, and federal government all want a big hunk of it for services they claim we need. Bit hunk of property taxes goes to schools and even the university system, but since state claims they are not getting federal aid for college tuition, skyrocketed the college tuition costs. Only let you deduct a small portion of the actual amount so you end up paying income taxes on that balance.

Inflation rate is greater than what you can get on interest so end up paying additional taxes on your interest even though you have less money worth than what you started off with. Transportation costs to and from work or school is not deductible so robbed on that as well. State sales tax has been added to many food items if they are mildly prepared, that is now considered an luxury even though you have to work extra hours to make ends meet and just don't have time to prepare a meal.

Every which way you turn, they have new ways to screw us, really must have some strong think tanks dreaming up all this stuff. And no way to work around it. Just bend over and take it with a smile.

Oh, we do get a mild state income tax on our property taxes, but they haven't updated those amounts in the last 30 years. Guess the state doesn't know they also drastically increased property taxes. Due to government imposed inflation, your piece of ####### dwelling is now worth a zillion bucks according to them.
