It's called solicitation. Offering money for sex is not legal. That is how many potential Johns get busted. They offer undercover women cops money for certain sexual acts...next thing they know, they are handcuffed and in the back of a police car.

I think it's ridiculous. You can give away sex to total strangers all day long if you wanted, but if you ask for money, boom, your a criminal. I think prostitution should be legal, regulated and taxed, like any other business.

And you can legally kill unborn babies, but offer $20 for a ####### is a crime.

How would legalizing prostitution affect pimps? If legalizing it would lead to less abuse of women, then I'd be for it. I don't fully understand the prostitute/pimp relationship and why pimps are neccesary.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think most prostitutes have a wide array of opportunities one of which is the sex industry and prostitution being illegal is denying them the right to practice their desired profession.

Pimps would cease to be 'necessary' in that regard. And if we can govern the prozzies, then we can at least ensure they are 'clean' with routine blood checks.

So, I can't see the downside.

PLAINSBORO — Police are looking for a man who reportedly propositioned a township resident for sex.

Police said a Hunters Glen Drive woman was washing her clothes in a common laundry room around 4 p.m. Feb. 27, when she was approached by a man who asked if she would like to have sex. The woman declined, gathered her belongings and began to leave.

The man asked if she would accept money in return for sex, but the woman declined. He also asked if she knew of anyone who would accept money for sex.

The woman left the area and returned to her home. Police searched for the man but were unable to find him.
