As far as I know (and anyone, please correct me if I am wrong) after your fingerprints clear, unless they need some additional information from you, the next letter you will be receiving will be your invitation for an interview.

Camping out at your mailbox.

Or just forget about it and go on with your life, you do have a ten year green card, right? Still have a valid foreign passport if you want to visit your mom?

We never got stressed with our N-400 application, was finally secure here after that long struggle with the removal of conditions stage, that was extremely stressful for us, no work, no travel, and in effect, you are here illegally.

But the interview letter came in a lot faster than we expected, hell, I even sent off my wife's application first class mail. I think they like that as they don't have to sign for it. When it did come in, OH, MY GOD! More stuff to do, plan for that long trip, I had to go all over our proof again and reread the M-476 to make sure our application was complete, wife had to study for her civics and English test, and both of us went over the N-400 to make sure she understood every phase of it. That kind of interferes with your life.

Yep unless there is a R.F.E letter the next thing to look out for is a interveiw letter given you the date...

Please note, even though you have done your Fingerprints you still may get a R.F.E more often this is a uscis problem "delay" in there admin work and may or may not to do with your fingerprints.....so best to give them a call or get a info pass just to be on the safe side...

But again best to double check what this R.F.E letter is about....

If you don't get a R.F.E letter it will be a interveiw date.....this letter should come within 120 days after your Fingerprints.....more often than not much sooner though...

After your interveiw and test once approved then some service centres do the same day oath but not many tho....but be aware that this could happen on the same day as interveiw....make sure you dress up decent....not saying the whole suit and sunday stuff.but something decent....remember your going to a interveiw so dress like your going for a job....and if the I.O do give you a chance for the same day oath then your all dressed up and ready to go...

Now maybe you won't have a same day oath then again the uscis has 120 days to reply to you with some sort of reply after your interveiw...

again the uscis has 120 days to reply back to you....but normally they get back to you a lot sooner than the given date..

Go to the N-400 Timelines and take a look at a patern at all applications and you may even see some members in the same city/state.

This will give you a better idea of what sort of time there is in every step of the N-400 Process.

Please Note...if you decide to take a mini break somewhere.....make sure that somebody can check your post, as you don't want to miss anything, as this could make a delay in your application process..

IF you don't hear anything within 120 days then make a phone call or a infopass appointment to find out what's going on with your application....

Please Note.....Make several copy's of everything you send to the uscis or if you use a Lawyer cas as we all know things get lost somehow.

Hi. After fingerprinting, there's nothing for you to do but wait. You will receive a letter in the mailbox with your interview date from USCIS. The letter will also contain a list of things to bring with you on that day. Congrats and good luck :star:
