Would changing jobs be a bad idea right now?

My fiance and I (I am the USC) had our NOA-2 approved March 4th. I've sent off my last everything that needed to be mailed to him. That is the spot we are in, in the process.

Anyway, I am really quite miserable in my job. 3 year wage freeze. It is very difficult manual labor, and honestly it's just too much for me. My boss has become nearly cruel (HR not helping), and has lost a lot of employees under her direction.

I am seeing a ton of help wanted signs up around my area lately. I want to get out there and find something else. But would it be a poor idea to do this after filling out the affidavit of support (I had to use a co-sponsor, I don't make enough to buy a box of tic tacs), and prior to my fiance's interview? Do I need to just wait?

Thanks for any insight.

Honestly? As you have a co-sponsor it doesn't matter one iota. Your income isn't being used for his application so what you earn and where you work is irrelevant because the other person is the one who's income they're using. Even when it comes to that person changing jobs, at the time of signing the form it was accurate AND the income information was correct (past tax returns etc).

Even when it comes to the I-864 once he's here, they don't go by an employment letter, they go by your income from tax returns and assets etc so it won't really matter. In fact, personally, I'd change jobs now as the sooner you get started and settled into a new job, the longer you get that "employment" letter for. I think it'd be good.

Also, this is a miserable process anyway, no need to make yourself more upset by suffering through a shite job (although my shite job did help take my mind off missing Tony, I was too busy thinking how awful my job was and how awesome moving will be :D )
