I just found a listing of the ASCs http://www.american-citizenship.org/applic...ort-centers.php

I found out there is one closer to me than the one I was assigned to when I did ROC biometrics.

Has anyone gone to a different ASC than the one assigned to and been successful in doing biometrics?

ROC 2009
Naturalization 2010

Already made the comment if we had to fly to the LA office, would go there just to get it over with. Think, but not sure, that the USCIS assigns offices by telephone area code and perhaps by workload, who knows for sure.

We have two friends, one is 60 miles away from the closest field office, the other is 80 miles away. They had no success in changing assigned offices, one had to travel 300 miles, the other closer to 400 requiring additional overpriced hotel bills and days off of work.

For whatever reason, we were assigned to Milwaukee for biometrics and to St. Paul, (Bloomington) for interviews. Best not to use logic and do what you are told. Always had to allow at least two additional hours for Milwaukee not know the traffic jams during construction, but when gas hit 4 1/2 bucks a gallons, the interstates were empty, so we had to wait in the car for two hours with the engine running to avoid freezing to death. Another observation, the further you live away, the earlier are your appointments, they don't make it easy.
