What's NOA1 and NOA2?

Timeline

I just sent my husband's I-130 form with all the required paperwork/proof yesterday afternoon. (L)

Now I'm a little lost :blush:

i see that I'm suppose to received some type of NOA?

Can someone explain to me what's NOA 1 and NOA 2? and if Im going to get it on the mail or e-mail???

and also whats an RFE?

Filed: AOS (apr) Country: Philippines
Timeline

NOA = Notice of Action... the "1" indicates the case filing acknowledgement and the "2" is the approval notice

all official correspondence from the USCIS comes via the USPS

RFE = Request For Evidence... if your case file is incomplete the USCIS will send out an RFE asking for more evidence so the case can become approvable
