Hello everyone, my NOA2 was approved 3/9/10, and now I'm just waiting for the notice to show up in the mailbox. I wanted to know do I have to wait until I receive the notice before I pay the other fees or could I prepay in advance and also once everything has been paid and sent back to NVC how much longer do we have to wait for an interview, because I'm on my way to Jamaica the 1st week in April so that my husband and I could attend Easter Church Service togather and I can't wait so I want him to have his Police record and passport photos ready when I get there so I could bring everything back with me and also will he receive a US passport or Jamaican passport because the DS3032 form ask for a copy of his biographic information/data but he only has a Jamaican passport, so I'm confuse about this part. Thank you for all your feed back, God Bless Always...... (L)

One you can forget about an April interview date, if this is a CR1 visa. It looks like if all the stars are lined up correctly you could possible have a June interview date.

Yes, you have to follow the procedure and process for paying and supplying information to NVC. See the helpful link I posted below.

Your husband will not recieve a US passport, passports are issued thru the country that you have citizenship thru, so his will always be a Jamaican passport until he obtains citizenship thru another country.

This process that you'll are going thru now, is only for a visa to enter the US. If you'll are getting a CR1 visa, then this will also allow him to obatin his green card(CG) in the same process. He will not be eligible to obtain his US citizenship until he has been a LPR (CG holder) of 3-5 years and all other criterias are meet. If this is something you'll wants to do at a later date than I would suggest you read up on the guideslines for this. Note : Google is your friend.

Again if this is a CR1 the I would highly suggest that you read up on what will be required at this stage of your journey and follow that process. This link will take you to what to expect at this step in your journey. http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/...nal_Visa_Center

Finally but most important, it would be to your and your husband best interst if you'll read up on the CR1 visa process and be familiar with what will be required to complete this process, because one small mistake can lead to a denial or a slow down in getting thru this process.

Good Luck .....

Hi!

And CONGRATS...

DONT WAIT for anything. Call the NVC asap - 603-334-0700 and get your NVC case number. Should be assigned any day. Dont wait on them. Once a case number is assigned - give the operator your email addresses one for you, and one for your husband. They can send you the DS3032 in the email. Will you be his choice of agent? If so, all you need to do is complete, sign and email back to the NVC. Please join us in the CR1 subforum March Thread for quick and easy ways to get thru the NVC process. If you can get all docs in and all fees paid by end of this month, you could see a May interview. As long as you dont have any Requests for Evidence, etc.

I am waiiting on our interview now. I would be happy to help you. VJ got me thru this fine and will do the same for you! :)
