Vietnam was not a "just" war by any stretch of the imagination.

Actually it was the most just war. They were fighting for the freedom of others, the same freedom that allows you and I to post on here.

I have great respect for those soldiers, also why I will never respect the drug induced loser hippies who were more concerned about getting high and slacking off than fighting for the same freedom those wankers enjoyed themselves. I would have loved to been around back then. Must have been a 'war for rice..'

yeah, that australia threw everyone they had in the military at the problem and still lost to a 3rd world country.

Nice try. Have you won any war since WWII?

That was the government's line certainly, but a person might wonder what you mean beyond that.

NV = communist

SV = wanted democracy

Not to mention, when the US withdrew, the South Vietnamese ate it hard from the NV. Funny how Jane Fonda and co didn't report the aftermath. They only reported for the NV when our forces were actually fighting. There was the beginning of what we know as the 2010 yank lib..

Wars should be avoided at any cost, but I think that was a just war, but poorly executed. Like Iraq, you cannot fight an enemy who plays by no rules, using a rule book. It was also a time when we had the birth of report anything, regardless of the impact, news anchors.

Yeah - we killed millions (literally) of people over there, including the systematic destruction of neighbouring Cambodia. Seems just to me :wacko:

Freedom usually comes at a price. The same price was paid by others to secure the freedom of your mother country in WWII.

Of course, had the NV been a minority, you'd probably go back in time and fight yourself.. :lol:

Vietnam War and WW2 are not interchangeable.

The US lost the Vietnam war, and in the process millions of people were killed. The Cambodia genocides under the Khmer Rouge were a direct result of the US bombing of that country over a period of years.

Give me a ###### break. Do you think I have not ###### read and heard about how the liberals treated the troops who returned, even spitting on them. That is an absolute disgrace.

You're an absolute disgrace to both of the countries in which you hold citizenship.

I didn't realize that Australia had 50,000 troops in that war.

There was a guy I spoke to recently, who served in Vietnam, who said an Aussie saved his platoon's life. He said they were in a market and a teenager was approaching them, the Aussie shouted for them to get down and shot the ######. The teenager was carrying explosives, and had he not killed them, they would have all been dead.

At least one yank praises Aussies and realizes we don't #### around.

More of your bullshit.
