Which form should I fill ? I 864 ???

Im a student so I don't have income ... my brother will be a sponsor so which form should we fill ?

Hmm what is mean co-sponsor , join sponsor ?

So my brother will be co-sponsor ? ? ?

If you are the petitioner you are required to file an I-864 regardless of your status of employment.

Co-sponsor and Joint sponsor are the same terms. If your brother is living in the same household as you fill out an I-1864A. If he lives separately fill out I-864. Please read the instruction on I-1864 for further details.

Same household means you and your brother live together. If you live with your brother then he files form I-1864A. If you are not living together in the same house then he files I-1864.

Do you or do you live in the same house as your brother?

Yes? He fills in an I864A.

You will also need proof that he is your brother--copy of both your birth certificates should suffice.

And proof of his citizenship.

You don't live together, so don't worry about proving something that isn't true. Just have him file an I-864 as a joint sponsor. Even if you DO live together, you can do it that way. The reason for doing the I-864a is to combine income. People in the same household are not required to do it that way. You have a choice.

Since you don't live together, do two I-864 forms.

File the 864 for you... and an 864 for your brother... end of confusion
