07/21/11 filed AOS off tourist visa

07/28/11 USCIS cashed check

07/30/11 Recieved NOA1 and Biometrics letter

08/24/2011 Biometrics

08/25/2011 RFE sent to us for some info we've already sent in

08/30/2011 sent in the rest of info USCIS asked for

09/13/2011 went to congressman's office to sign papers for expedite of work permit, due to financial hardship

09/15/2011 Work permit expedite approved!! He can finally find a job!

09/24/2011 work permit arrives

09/26/2011 Apply for social security number!

09/30/2011 Letter is sent for interview

11/07/2011 INTERVIEW!!!

Its 2012 and still no approval! Still waiting

01/27/2012 Letter sent stating that file was sent on for more review :(

I already knew how to drive.

I had a licence in Canada but I let it expire when I moved closer to work.

I am scared of driving in Cali though, they're maniacs :P

I knew how to drive. When I was taking my test and the guy heard I was from Sweden he just said "Oh, you'll do fine then" and then we spent the rest of the test driving around and chitter chatter.

Other but learned from an agency in Sweden. Traffic here in ATL is a "bit" different from driving in small town Sweden though.

I already knew how to drive. Had been driving in India and England. I just needed to get used to driving on the right side of the road which took a few times of driving. The examiner even commented on how relaxed I was driving here and eventually I got a 100% in my driving test

My husband had a German DL but had to take the written and driving tests here in TX. No problem. Was kind of dumb though, considering how much more difficult it is to get a license in Germany. ;)

I'm the foreign spouse and I had been driving since I was 18 (minimum age to drive in Brasil) so yeah, I knew how to drive. Also, I got an international license before leaving so I was driving straight away. Only when my international license expired end of last year that I started to go after my PR driver's license.

2011 August 1 - Interview (rec'd via snail mail June 27) PASSED

2011 August 3 - Rec'd email that my case has been scheduled for Oath

2011 September 1 - Oath ceremony (rec'd snail mail Aug 5)

2011 September 1 - All done, yeah.
