Hello there, here is my situation.

In October 2008 receive Notice of Action for receipt of I-751 application. Husband went and got his biometric fingerprints etc. However, the check bounced. We paid them back through collections. Filed another application to Director asking for waiver of fees (included all evidence) and then called CA service center and they said his case is still pending based on the first application in 2008. (They did not receive the fee waiver affidavit etc, that I send Jan. 22,2010) They told us to go into our Local Immigration office. (I made an appointment via INFOPASS)

Question

1. Are they going to deport my husband. He is terrified he will be deported if we go into the Local Immigration Office.

2. Is there anything else that I can do?

Please help us.

Thanks

1. Go to your local office and meet with an IO, take all your documents. Having a bad financial problem doesn't mean deportation.

2. he can apply for citizenship when he is able to.

fees are waived on case to case basis depending upon situation.

thankyou so much!

He has been here for 3 years. When we called CA service center, they said his case is still pending (the bounced check etc doesn't show up in their system.). His appointment is Monday 15th of March. Will keep you updated! Hopefully, it will go well. My mother is willing to pay for citizenship application fee, so that will certainly be an option after the 15th (appointment).

i second 3600rs' answer. Applying for citizenship will also force the I-751 to be adjudicated.

Wife's I-130:

03/15/2019 NOA1 (Nebraska Service Center)

02/11/2020 Case transferred to Vermont Service Center

02/02/2021 NOA2 الحمد لله

02/04/2021 Approval email
02/12/2022 NVC documents submitted
