March 2010 - K1 CSC Filers

I just got my NOA2 in the mail today. Although the weird thing is I got two... Two separate envelopes, and the paper inside, they both say the exact same thing, expect one says the Notice Date is March 11, and the other says March 12. Why would I get two NOA2's? Weird...

When I saw the news I thought about all the filers. I hope everything is going calm down over there. and that all fiances are safe.

...Did they stop the process at the embassy ?

The BKK embassy is closed all week. Glimmers of hope that it will reopen next week, but then we roll into the Memorial Day long weekend. Thank you for the kind words. We are only 2.5 months since mailing the petition so I can't complain so to much. But it is getting aggravating.

this past weekend i got a letter from the nvc dated on the 12th that they have received my petition and will be forwarding it to my fiancee's local consulate.

however, when i tried to double check by calling the automated service, it said that they have no records of it.

any of you have a clue why they are saying that?

did you talk to a rep at NVC??

did you get your actual case#??

my packet was long gone to kuala lumpur before I got the notice in the mail. Give them a call, get the case#, verify if it has been shipped out and if so what date. You can track shipments on DHL but I am guessing yours may have already arrived if it was shipped out more than a few days ago. If that is the case then send a friendly email to the embassy with your case# in the title just as a follow up.

I sure amd sorry Richard that you are going through this, I saw how excited you were that everything was going so well and now this. My thoughts are with you that things will be resolved soon and you can get the process restarted.

Stasis, I don't believe K1 visas are accessible via the automated system - you need to speak to a human

After twenty seven days of getting very little information from the NVC, today we finally recieved a second NOA2. So the USCIS have unearthed our case from somewhere and it looks like it's on it's way to the NVC. Hopefully they'll have it this week. It's a relief, that's for sure.

OMG, I received package 3 in the mail today!!!!!!! I cannot believe how fast it's been going! Three weeks ago, NOA 2, and now Package 3 already! SO EXCITING!!!

i just check the form I-134 and notice that the expiration date is 31st of May, 2010. Is there any new form yet or is the old still ok after its expiration?

Hey landis, i think you can still use the older version after the expiration date. if you look at the forms overview on the USCIS website it says by a lot of forms an 'edition' date and then "previous editions/versions accepted". for form I 134 it says '10/30/2008. Prior versions are also acceptable', which i think its a bit strange as it has a later expiration date but I think it wont matter. for example, for the I 129 F form, we could have used 02/19/10. 07/30/07 and 11/24/06 editions.

I am still rooting for the rest of the March Filers. I know how it feels to wait. Trust me, you will be very excited when you check the USCIS website and you see for the first time "Post Decision Activity"

Just called the NVC and got our case number. NVC said our approved petition was received yesterday and usually takes about five days before sending it off to the appropriate embassy/consulate. Hope they send it off soon.

Hang in there for all March filers still waiting on NOA2. Hope to see more approvals soon.
