just received text approved. I-129F sent March 17, Approved at May 6th! I'm wondering what should I do next? wait couple days then call NVC?

Wow congrats! You got your NOA1 after me and you got approved already! Hopefully that means I'll get approved soon too...

Hi guys, just a quick question - our case has not arrived at the NVC yet; we were approved on the 22nd of April. Despite Matt calling daily, there seems to be no change. Is this typical? The NOA2 says to allow 2-4 weeks for processing so we're just a little curious as a few of our fellow March filers who were approved a couple of days before us have already heard back from their consulates. Any insight would be fantastic :)

Matt - US Citizen

Zoe - Australian Citizen and poster :)

Hello Everybody !

I am hoping you can answer this question : I did research online to see what exactly is "the package 3" So I can get ready.

I read that they want a police record from places I have been for more than 6 months. Is that true ?

If yes : I lived 7 months in Missouri and 12 months in California. Do I need two certificates ? or just one ?

I know how to apply online for a french police certificate but how do you guys do in America ?

ps : this is the link I got the info from : it says Bangkok on it but I am assuming this checklist is the same for every packages 3 !!

http://bangkok.usembassy.gov/root/pdfs/checklist.pdf

Thanks in advance !

Keep calling USCIS or NVC and see if they can update you. NVC does say to wait 2-4 days to contact them but I would still bug them. Saw the following email at other forum to track your case: NVCresearch@State.gov :bonk:

03/12/10 NOA1

04/23/10 NOA2

Soph...I got the following information from France embassy: http://france.usembassy.gov/iv-faqs.html

What sort of police check do I need?

You must provide a police record for France and each country where you have resided for more than one year (with the exception of the United States). Information on how to obtain your French police record (casier judiciaire) is available online at: https://www.cjn.justice.gouv.fr/cjn/b3/eje20. Information on other European country police records is also available at this site. Police records cannot be older than one year on your interview date.

I would also suggest to email your embassy.

Don't worry Zoe, I went through same issue, as my was approved few days earlier than yours, but I just found out that they got my case just now only.

Hope they will have your case next week!!

This is weird, as folks who got aprroved later date , NVC received their case first!!!

But keep calling NVC daily, now!!

thank you.

The things I can think of collecting from my end is i-134.

On my fiancee's end would be police certificate, birth certificate, passport.

am I missing anything else?

Wow, it sure is weird to me that people that have gotten their NOA1 after me have gotten approved already, and I haven't even gotten a touch since March 24. But I know that happens, nothing goes in order or is it fair. The waiting game is hard though. I hope something happens within the next week.
