just recieved an email notification and text message about our application being approved yesterday, may 4, 2010.

however when i checked the uscis website for my case status it went from "initial review" all the way to the 2nd to last step which was the "post-decision activity".

now, my question is... how come it skipped "testing and interview"? of course "rfe" and "decision" was skipped for obvious reasons.

should i assume that there will not be an interview?

with the initial submission of a I-129F there is no interviews to be done in this phase, they would be part of other types of submissions. So we all skipped right to "post decision activity". Don't worry the interview will still take place, it just means the CSC is done with us.

Sent the Packet 3 to Embassy yesterday. Bangkok usually emails the interview within 3 buisness days. We are very excited. It was cute watching her on Skype last night putting all the paperwork in order. Her and I are very excited. So much paperwork!

Hello,

How long does it usually take after you get NOA2 until you recieve packet 3? I got approved April 26 and recieved the NOA2 May 1 should I be expecting packet 3 any day?

Thanks,

Shane Headlee

Shane,

We haven't recieved packet 3 either, but I went on the embassy website and downloaded the Packet 3. We mailed it yesterday, if you know your case number then, there shouldn't be any reason why you can't put the packet 3 together now.

Good Luck!!! The only thing holding us up to send in packet 3 is Gerhard's police certificate from Germany, we didn't know we would need this as he left there when he was 23 and we have to have that first. :( But we are still very happy our petition has come so far so fast. :)

You don't have to send the police certificate with packet 3 so why not just send in the Form DS-230 Part I and the checklist.

Perhaps check the VJ China forum or China Embassy for Packet 3/4 checklist for better clarification. You are missing the medical report, proof of relationship, & passport size photos though. Good Luck!
