Actually less than 1% of illegal aliens are from Canada and Ireland. My source is the DHS, as linked above. Whereas 62% of illegal aliens are from Mexico, which too is listed in the link above. Country in position 2. El Salvador only makes up 5%.

I must have missed white history month. And lets be honest, if were where to celebrate Caucasian and Asian and middle eastern actual achievements, we'd need a decade to celebrate. They don't really teach than in American schools because reality tends to be racist.

Everyone wants to play this whole segregated history game when the truth is, all of our histories are intertwined. One group should never be pointed out separately like that as it only adds to the problem of prejudice/continued racism.

Ah okay, so an event identifying achievement based on race should be encouraged, well when it's about Hispanics of Black of course. However, asking for a similar event for the eons of Caucasian progress is just "silly".

No, Affirmative Action is not only about race - its an umbrella term for a wide range of State and Federal policies, of which race is a factor - but not the only one.

If you don't like the idea of black history month, you should probably take it up with your (that's a general you, not a personal one) racist ancestors who marginalised blacks and created unpleasant social conditions.

And here is silly me believing that black history month was a month designated to teaching people why slavery was bad and how people strived to over come it. Not only black people, but white people who helped them out believing there should be equality no matter the color of your skin. Much like WW2 history is taught to show that no matter religion there is never an excuse to commit crimes against other people. Its done so history doesn't repeat itself, because one group of people being against another group of people for any reason is stupid. Doesn't matter if its religion, race or language.

It is undeniable that there was significant racial inequality in this country's history, right through to the immediate past. It is also undeniable that you, I and Mr Paul here are the direct beneficiaries of an unfair system - whether we choose to admit that or not.
