So friends we are in AP of 5th month and today i got this email after months i want your opinion should i transfer my Case to Pakistan because we cannot see green signal by the below email from USE . The only reason of transferring my case to Pakistan is my wife can come with me in Pakistan at interview so is this possible can we still transfer to Pakistan ?. kindly give your wise decision so here is what i received from AMERICAN EMBASSY OF RIYADH :

Ms,

Please note this is a problematic case and so the review is taking longer than usual. I cannot elaborate why until a final formal decision is made. The applicant will be informed soon.

AP of six months or more is not unusual in either Riyadh or Islamabad. IMO, you just wait. The interview has already taken place. There wouldn't be another one unless the Consul General requests it.

It's possible but that's also a common misunderstanding. Usually, they just ask for the passport and any additional paperwork needed, either by mail or in person. There's seldom a reason to ask more questions or have another "interview".

First of all, don't panic! The wheels turn and they take time. A minor burble in their paperwork or background checks is nothing to worry about until and unless they tell you something worrying. Until they give you more specific instructions or information just take this as a courtesy mailing, like that annoying voice that comes on the phone when you're on hold every 30 seconds to apologize for the fact that you're still on hold. :)

Remember, if G-d is with you in this no force in the universe can stand in your way!

DON'T PANIC

"It says wonderful things about the two countries [Canada and the US] that neither one feels itself being inundated by each other's immigrants."

-Douglas Coupland

Hi Fiaz,

I am deeply sorry to hear that. InshaAllah you will come out of this phase soon. For me, my interview was held on 9th march. The interviewer told me that he is going to approve my case because it is already very late. Still three 25 days has past and I am waiting.

I emailed them after three weeks and they said my case is in AP too. Pray for me that I will come out of this soon as well. I think they are putting everyone in AP except Lancelot (a member here) who got his visa in four days.

Take care and hold on.

I did not view the wording in the email as horrible.

Perhaps you view the situation as horrible - regardless of your views or how you feel, it is what it is.

AP has no timeline or deadline - it's not over till it's over.

re: transferring the case to Pakistan. Why did you not have all done there, to begin with? Smells like poor planning, IMO. No, I'm not knocking you, personally - it just reeks of poor planning.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

@Darnell If you read their locations it says Riyadh. So I would take that to mean he is living there and it makes perfect sense to interview at the Consulate/Embassy where you are residing. I do not think there was any poor planning on their part.

@OP I am sorry you are in AP. It seems from many postings it is "standard practice" to make the applicants wait. As many others have said, there is nothing terrible in the email foreboding bad news or an unfavorable outcome.

Good luck
