Our file was forwarded from the NVC to the Embassy on 3/09/10 when I called the lady told me they had received our electronic copy only and that the hard copy had not arrived to call back in a week. My question is do they wait for hard copy before mailing packet and if so how long does that take?

Go ahead a do the St.Lukes medical NOW. You only need the NOA2 and your MNL to do so. Better doing it early in case something like sputum test are required.

yea , this is my favorite part. you call them and tell them you spoke to nvc, and that the embassy should have it. but your told your case is not complete.

I came to understand this is just a ploy to delay the process for some reason or another. i called the embassy over 20 times. the last time i called i told the guy that i already spent well over 100 dollars on there pin number calls.

finally , i just told the guy that i got a email from the embassy. he told me to read it to him.

then magically he scheduled our interview!

this part of the process is a pain, i dont know if there trying to make as much money as they can on the phone calls or if they delay you becuase of scheduling problems.

may be different now with the ecomony tanked and not as many apps.

Can you give us the wording you used when asked to read the email to him, ya know just in case one of us might wanna say, "well I have a email that says schedule an interview"

That pin number deal sounds like a money scam....$18 for 3 calls....
