Yeah, kinda going a little batty. Got a response from one of my senators and they said that they'd start work on it as soon as the official processing date website moves beyond March 6th. That kinda drives me nuts because obviously that processing date is meaningless.

Dan & Sheryl (Twin Cities, MN and Calgary, AB Canada)

Feb 29 2004 - Met on LiveJournal.com

July 25 2005 - Things start to get 'romantic'

Nov 11 2005 - Met in person

Dec 31 2005 - Engaged

March 6 2006 - I-129F sent

March 9 2006 - I-129F NOA1

July 3 2006 - IMBRA RFE in the mail

July 5 2006 - RFE sent with extra evidence (plane tickets, receipts, letters, emails, photos)

July 10 2006 - RFE received

Aug 8 2006 - Congressional inquiry - told 129F cases are processed based on IMBRA RFE

Sept 20 2006 - Called DHS - Was told another RFE was sent three weeks ago

Sept 21 2006 - Local USCIS office claims RFE is a request for 'initial' evidence - RFE must be lost or was never actually sent.

Sept 22 2006 - Congressional inquiry #2- told "We are working on your case, please allow 60 days" ARGGHH

Sept 26 2006 - 6 touches from all my investigating

Oct 16 2006 - Finally received the RFE that's been holding up our case. It's the IMBRA RFE that we already sent in and was verified received!

Oct 24 2006 - FINALLY APPROVED!

Jan 18 2007 - Interview in Vancouver / K-1 received

it won't move beyond it for a while i think. 6 mar 06 was the cutoff for the imbra law to take effect, and they probably still have cases with that date sitting there awaiting the imbra rfe.

No approval here. We have (from CSC) an April NOA1 and receipt of IMBRA RFE of 5 July. While I am happy for everyone who has received their approvals, it is becoming very difficult to see all the approval emails without becoming despondent...

My life and that of my children have basically been put on hold pending magic approval from CSC. I am happy to wait, but it is the not knowing what is going on, when we can move to the states etc which is starting to make me a headcase...

Here's hoping everyone gets approved quickly and smoothly.

I'm having a very hard time watching end of May petitions - a full TWO months after I applied - getting approvals right now . . . :(

and another one - applied on June 6 - approved today. How does that work?

Too bad my fiance and I didn't wait to start this process until month - we would have avoided a whole lot of stress and heartache

We received your inquiry but cannot proceed because we do not have the name of your beneficiary or the receipt number. Your case would have come under the new Marriage Brokers Act which requires additional scrutiny, but if you are able to supply us with complete information, we would be happy to ask about your petition.

hmmm... I would have included Yacine's info and receipt number... wanted to see if they actually did have an immigration liaison. Bleh, how does imbra apply to me if my receipt date is February 9th and i never recieved an rfe

when was your imbra rfe accepted? that seems to be what is driving this train, not the noa1 date.

I am going crazy in all this waiting... INS seems to have gotten little more organized in the last 4 years... I am not sure why...maybe cos I fired my lawyer and am doing it myself now. But hopefully all this will end soon... I give it another year 1,5.. then I will start pulling my hair out...

:crying:

Right - I see that's the pattern and that's also what's pissing me off. How can they justify completely ignoring NOA1 dates and approving someone while filed on June 6 before the March people?

I didn't even receive the damn RFE until July 11 - again, there was no order followed in mailing them out. Someone who filed on June 6 got their RFE before I got mine. They got mine back on July 13 but didn't acknowledge it for close to another week . . . you can see why I'm losing it today

Icey - I'm with you - I really can't understand what the issue is in your case (or how you are holding it together)
