IR1/CR1 CASE COMPLETE, NOW WHAT?

MY wife's ir1 case was complete at the NVC level on March 8. We are now waiting for an interview date and should be getting an email from NVC any minute now. My next question is, now what?

What else do we need to do in preparation for the interview? When do we get the medical checkup? Anything else?

Will the interview email explain everything we need to do?

I am hoping to get an interview setup in April since I just learned from a VJ member yesterday that the 8th - 12th is when NVC schedules them for the following month. It looks likes we made it just in time ( I pray ).

Will the interview email explain everything we need to do? YES IT WILL.

When do we get the medical checkup?GO TO USA EMBASSY WEB PAGE AT COUNTRY WHERE INTERVIEW WILL TAKE PLACE , ALL INFORMATION ARE THERE.

Anything else? ALL EVIDENCE OF YOUR RELATIONSHIP,PICTURE, PHONE BILLS, BANK STATEMENT AND SO ON,, MORE IS BETTER.

Once NVC ship your document to embassy, and when they arrive to embassy, call embassy and ask them is anything missing , and they will tell you,,

Forms that may be either sent back (or requested to be gathered and kept for the interview) to the NVC or the consulate abroad (depending upon which consulate you are going through) before an interview date with a consulate abroad can be scheduled are as follows:

Pre-Interview Forms / Items:

1. Completed and signed OF-169.

2. Completed and signed Of-230 Part 1 and 2 forms.

3. I-864 Affidavit of Support Form along with past 3 year U.S tax returns (or transcripts) and any other financial documents required.

4. A copy of intending immigrants biographic page of passport(s) including expiration date.

5. Original or certified "long" birth certificate. *

6. Original adoption decree. (if applicable)

7. Marriage certificate. (if applicable)

8. Divorce decree(s) or death certificate(s) (if applicable)

9. Police certificate(s) **

10. Court and prison records.(if applicable)

11. Custody records. (if applicable)

12. Military records (if applicable)

Thanks everyone. I just received my interview email this morning.

Now it's time to get everything ready again and gather all the photos from two years ago leading up to now. We had already gone through the interview for my wife's K3 visa. Now getting the IR1. FUN.

Not yet.

We will schedule the medical close to the interview date. Apparently ( and suprisingly ), the CR1/IR1 visa is valid for six months from the date of medical checkup.
